It is with tentative fingers I write this post. It has not been too peaceful around here these last few days, and I like peace and quiet. So I will try and pick as calming, un-provocative and non-stimulating a subject as I can think of.
I registered at the public library yesterday. I have lived in Swansea for too many years now, and have never been registered with the library. Now I have my library card and I am looking forward to spending pleasant hours in the reference section reading about interesting things in dusty tomes.
Joining the library was a straightforward process, for some reason I had always thought it would be more complicated, but it only took a gas bill. Why had I not done it sooner? I’ve had gas bills for as long as I can remember. And they always look too much, I don’t really feel I ever get my money's worth with gas. Electricity use I can appreciate, but gas has the aspect of an invisible thief, like income tax.
They have a good music reference section at the library I am told, so I will be finding out how to write those fugues I’ve been promising myself. I’ll spare you though, it won’t be pretty.
Now, I’ve done my best, I really have.

nothing stimulates more than a good library card! What were you thinknig!?
I agree. Frankly the only reason I haven't posted sooner was that just reading the phrase 'library card' made me come.
In my blue pants.
