Exploits of the Frictionless Man as it wanders around the world like some kind of slippery hydra. Music, words and pictures a speciality.

Shove your festival up your arse: I'm off to Lightly Riot.

There went that. It was an odd weekend, involving a lot of walking and carrying and too much glaring from me. It was not that easy a performance in the Tavern, and I was far too grumpy. Poor Monica, I’m very sorry. We got on stage at 4.30pm and it was nice to see Rhys and Jo in the audience, who turned up rather too early and had sat next to some kind of “wailing man” for an hour before we got there. We played well but too fast so it was very difficult to sing. That, compounded with a difficult morning and a long sweaty walk with too much equipment, resulted in my dagger vision being directed at Monica who really didn’t deserve it.

On Monday we went to Manuela and Huw’s for Manuela’s birthday and ate lots of lovely barbequed food and one of the most delicious blackberry crumbles I have ever tasted.

As a consequence of Saturday’s bad vibrations I am determined to enjoy the upcoming gig on Sunday the 3rd in Penybanc. This will be our first headline gig, and since it is in a more intimate setting it will be a good opportunity to relax and calm down a bit. I’m going to take time to savour the experience, soak up the atmosphere and let the music just come out.

Not enough cheeseburgers, that was your problem.

If you'd only taken my advice and eaten three times your own body-weight in fatty burger meat before the gig you'd have been too bloated to play too fast and everything would have been cool (man).
